OPERATION
1. Open the battery compartment by pushing the cover on the rear of the instrument downward as indicated by the arrow.
Remove the battery safety strip and the protective cover on the LCD display. The instrument is now ready for use.
2. The temperature units can be changed from
o
C to
o
F by sliding the switch located on the rear of the instrument.
3. The upper display indicates the Time.
The middle display indicates Temperature
o
C or
o
F
The bottom display indicates the Relative Humidity in %
4. Displaying the minimum and maximum values.
a. Press the MAX/MIN button. The highest value since the Reset button was last pressed appears in the display.
b. Press the MAX/MIN button again to display the lowest value since the Reset button was last pressed.
c. Press the MAX/MIN button again to return to normal display operation.
5. Resetting (clearing) the MAX/MIN memory.
a. Press the RESET button while in the MAX/MIN display to clear the memory and start recording new max/min values.
6. The unit can be mounted on a wall or placed on a flat surface using the fold-out foot.
7. The low battery flag will appear in the display when the battery is low. Replace the battery when this occurs to insure
accurate readings.
8. Setting the clock.
a. Press and hold the CLOCK button while in the normal mode until the minutes digits begin to flash.
b. Press the ADVANCE button to advance the flashing minute digits or hold for rapid advance.
c. Press the Clock button to change to the hour display and repeat step b. to set the digits.
d. Press the Clock button again to return to the normal operating mode.
9. The clock will display in 12 hour mode while
o
F is selected and 24 hour mode when
o
C is selected.
WARRANTY
EXTECH INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION warrants this instrument to be free of defects in parts and workmanship for one
year from date of shipment (a six month limited warranty applies on sensors and cables). If it should become necessary to
return the instrument for service during or beyond the warranty period, contact the Customer Service Department at (781)
890-7440 ext. 210 for authorization. A Return Authorization (RA) number must be issued before any product is returned to
Extech. The sender is responsible for shipping charges, freight, insurance and proper packaging to prevent damage in
transit.
This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from action of the user such as misuse, improper wiring, operation outside
of specification, improper maintenance or repair, or unauthorized modification. Extech specifically disclaims any implied
warranties or merchantability or fitness for a specific purpose and will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or
consequential damages. Extech's total liability is limited to repair or replacement of the product.
