productisthentruncatedtoasigned,48-bitnumber.Leveloffsetoperationsareimplementedbyaddinga
48-bit,signedoffsetcoefficienttoa48-bit,signeddatavalue.Inmostcases,iftheadditionresultsin
overflowingthe48-bit,signednumberformat,saturationlogicisused.Thismeansthatifthesummation
resultsinapositivenumberthatisgreaterthan0x7FFFFFFFFFFF(thespacesareusedtoeasethe
readingofthehexadecimalnumber),thenumberissetto0x7FFFFFFFFFFF.Ifthesummationresultsin
